Prayer for construction of Ramakrishna-Maa-Sarada Universal Prayer Hall and Community Hall cum Yatri Niwas.

Ramakrishna Maa Sarada Seva Trust is a philanthropic, cultural and non-profitable voluntary organisation located in Nandakumarpur, a remote village in Sundarbans, South 24 Parganas, West Bengal, India and about 80 kilometers away from Kolkata and 7 kilometers from Raidighi. People of this area are simple, hardworking and God-fearing though very poor. Life is a constant struggle against financial condition, communication, education, health and natural disasters coupled with thunderstorms and cyclones arising in the Bay of Bengal regularly lash this coastal area ravaging the land and destroying homes, livestock, humans, and wildlife.

A group of villagers have come forward to form this organization with the aim to look after the physical, mental, spiritual well-being of the financially-challenged people in the area and bring about sustainable development in the area based on the ideas and ideals of Swami Vivekananda. Swamiji emphatically called upon the Nation to rejuvenate the poor and downtrodden. Indeed, their conditions are deteriorating every day. A brochure is attached appraising the services envisaged.

To implement the entire service programme successfully we request all well-wishers, devotees, organisations, corporate houses and generous contributors from all over India & abroad to come forward and support us in this noble endeavour with the ideas of worshiping the “Living God”. At the initial phase, we humbly request you to kindly make some financial contributions for the following two projects:

• Construction of Ramakrishna-Maa-Sarada Universal Prayer Hall: Keeping in mind the spiritual needs of the populace, a temple complex is envisaged.
• Construction of Community Hall- A Community Hall, Community kitchen and dining hall are proposed for this project. This will serve food to residents and visitors and also the community-at-large in the time of floods, other calamities and for running various sustainable development projects.
